Praying for the Peace Church body

Each week, we have the opportunity to pray together for our church family and the work God has called us to. As we continue to grow in prayer, we will focus each week on one key aspect of who God has called Peace Church to be. Let’s use this time to seek the Lord together and ask Him to shape us, strengthen us, and help us faithfully live out our calling as a church.

This week, we are focusing on being a Gospel Driven church:

The Gospel is our hope in every circumstance. No matter what we are facing, we can come to Jesus with confidence, knowing that He is near, He is faithful, and His grace is sufficient. As we pray for one another this week, may we keep our eyes on Christ and remember that the Gospel is not just something we believe, it is the hope we carry into every part of our lives.

Physical needs 

Mike Hall

October 5

Mike was injured when he was knocked down by cows, resulting in a head injury requiring staples and an injured foot. Thankfully the doctors confirmed no torn tendons or ligaments. Prayers for complete healing.

Marilyn Borst

Sept 30

Marilyn fell Thursday and fractured her pelvis. She is in the hospital now and may be moved to rehab later this week. Please pray for healing and that they will find a pain med she tolerates well. Thank you!

October 1 Update

Mason has had his surgery! It went great! We had a few really rough days, but we came home 6 days post open-heart surgery! All praise and glory to God! Mason is doing great. He insisted on going to worship night at Central Campus on Wednesday night. It was an amazing night of worshiping with him and his new fully functioning heart! Thank you everyone for your prayers and support during this time. We greatly appreciate all of you! I have had people still asking if there is anything they can do to help, continued prayers for full healing and patience for Mason with himself as he heals. Also, the church has set up a meal train if anyone would be willing to help with meals as we transition back to normal life, that would be a help as well! https://mealtrain.com/ogq7d4  God is good and does good.

Our son, Mason Diehl (18), who is having open heart surgery to fix his bicuspid aortic valve. They will replace his aortic valve with his pulmonary valve and replace his pulmonary valve with a donor valve.

September 28 Update 

Bill & Muriel are grateful to be home and seeing significant healing after a month of therapy. Bill has been cleared to begin putting weight on his left forearm and right foot as tolerated, using a walker for mobility and outdoor activities. Praise God for His healing and goodness, and thank you to the Peace Church family for your continued prayers, love, and support!

Prayers for Jason & Kristian who are struggling with infertility. Ask God to give them comfort, strength, and hope as they walk through this journey, and peace as they trust Him with their desire to grow their family.

Our niece Teagan, who was on the prayer list before was admitted to the hospital this week again. She is having respiratory problems and has hand foot and mouth. Please pray for her to heal, and for her family to have peace.

Kris's daughter Hannah's family was in a car accident. Hannah is pregnant and has injuries to her pelvis and legs. Prayers for the health of the baby and healing for Hannah as she recovers.

Lane has decided to pursue radiation and hormone therapy at Mayo Clinic for his prostate cancer after consulting with several specialists. Please continue to pray for wisdom, strength, and peace for Lane and his wife, Ann, as they await a treatment start date.

Lane, Debbie’s 68-year-old brother, was recently diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer. Please pray for wisdom as he considers treatment options, and for God’s healing, peace, and hope for Lane and his wife, Ann, as they walk through this journey.

Thank you, Peace Church, for your prayers. Continued prayers for Stacy's cancer, and for my Dad's mental health hospitalization. Recently my mom crashed her car and they are taking away her ability to drive. Please pray for me as I help care for each of these needs, may I be filled with the Holy Spirit.

My coworker Avery has been struggling with many health issues over the years and was recently told she should undergo testing for a possible ALS diagnosis. She is only in her 20’s her financial means are very limited and she is terrified to proceed knowing it could be life changing news. Please pray that the Lord is there to comfort, guide and support her in all her decisions moving forward and give her strength and courage to battle whatever hardships continue to come her way. Thank you

September 11 Update

I just wanted your church to pray for me as I am experiencing some heart issues. Pray I’ll be able to get an angiogram soon so the doctors can figure out what is going on. I feel fine most of the time and currently at home and still doing ministry. Thank you for your prayers!

Yesterday was in the hospital with concerns related to his heart. Doctors want to do a heart work up in case there is something that needs fixing. Pray his high bp will be lowered and for healing to his heart

Prayer for my friend Terry... going thru a lot with husband that has early onset dementia from Parkinsons. Her niece Marylin who received a kidney a few years ago but now has an infection.
Also both my sister-in-law Rosanne and her sister Terry who have ongoing health issues.
Lastly for me.. for God to continue to provide the assistance I need in my projects. He truly is faithful.

Scott Hodges

Scott is serving in Alaska with other dentists. Please pray for the team as they travel, encourage missionary families, help prepare for winter, and provide dental care for about 140 missionaries. Pray for smooth logistics and that they would be a blessing to many and honor God throughout the trip.

The Curries are planning to be stateside from June 2027 through January 2028. Please pray for a smooth transition as they make plans to be away from their home in the Asia Pacific, and for a family vehicle to use while they are here; if you know of one available, please contact Pastor Noah.

Please pray for God’s grace over the students and teachers as they adjust to increased academic standards, for safe travel home for Ghada, the history department chair, and the debate team returning from Jordan, and for favor as Bean and Jane who have been volunteering with us, seek a year-long visa to continue serving and mentoring at the school.
