Praying for the Peace Church body

Each week, we have the opportunity to pray together for our church family and the work God has called us to. As we continue to grow in prayer, we will focus each week on one key aspect of who God has called Peace Church to be. Let’s use this time to seek the Lord together and ask Him to shape us, strengthen us, and help us faithfully live out our calling as a church.

This week, we are praying for:

Discipleship

Jesus calls each of us not only to follow Him, but to help others follow Him. Discipleship happens as we grow in our relationship with Christ and intentionally invest in the lives of others. Let’s pray this week for Peace Church to be a place where people are continually growing in their faith, being equipped to live out the Gospel, and encouraged to help others do the same. Pray for parents, grandparents, mentors, Community Group leaders, teachers, and all those who are investing in others. Ask God to give us eyes to see who He has placed around us and the courage to take the next step in helping someone know, love, and follow Jesus. May the Gospel be embraced and passed on from one generation to the next, creating a lasting Kingdom impact.

Kris's daughter Hannah's family was in a car accident. Hannah is pregnant and has injuries to her pelvis and legs. Prayers for the health of the baby and healing for Hannah as she recovers.

Lane, Debbie’s 68-year-old brother, was recently diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer. Please pray for wisdom as he considers treatment options, and for God’s healing, peace, and hope for Lane and his wife, Ann, as they walk through this journey.

My prayer request is for a dear friend of mine Olivia. She has been fighting several illnesses and is currently fighting a hard battle with sepsis down in Texas. She needs all the prayers she can get.

My coworker Avery has been struggling with many health issues over the years and was recently told she should undergo testing for a possible ALS diagnosis. She is only in her 20’s her financial means are very limited and she is terrified to proceed knowing it could be life changing news. Please pray that the Lord is there to comfort, guide and support her in all her decisions moving forward and give her strength and courage to battle whatever hardships continue to come her way. Thank you

Sept 11 Update

I just wanted your church to pray for me as I am experiencing some heart issues. Pray I’ll be able to get an angiogram soon so the doctors can figure out what is going on. I feel fine most of the time and currently at home and still doing ministry. Thank you for your prayers!

Yesterday was in the hospital with concerns related to his heart. Doctors want to do a heart work up in case there is something that needs fixing. Pray his high bp will be lowered and for healing to his heart

Prayer for my friend Terry... going thru a lot with husband that has early onset dementia from Parkinsons. Her niece Marylin who received a kidney a few years ago but now has an infection.
Also both my sister-in-law Rosanne and her sister Terry who have ongoing health issues.
Lastly for me.. for God to continue to provide the assistance I need in my projects. He truly is faithful.

August 26 Update 

Mason's surgery has been rescheduled for September 16. Please pray that Mason will stay healthy and that surgery will be able take place on the 16th.

Please be praying for our son, Mason Diehl (18), who is having open heart surgery on July 28th to fix his bicuspid aortic valve. They will replace his aortic valve with his pulmonary valve and replace his pulmonary valve with a donor valve.

Stacy had successful surgery to remove the cancer from her face. Continue to pray for complete healing.

Bill Hop

Sept 3 Update 

Bill is now home settling in after his full time PT at Mary Free Bed. Waiting till the 23rd to be released to use foot some (currently in chair), hoping to begin putting some weight on foot. Prayers for get comfortable with knee roller and to be allowed to begin using foot. Doing better than even expected.
