Cultural Perspective vs. Biblical Perspective The phrase “follow your heart” is common in culture today. How do you think this message aligns or conflicts with biblical teaching? Read Jeremiah 17:9. What does this passage tell us about the condition of the human heart? Defining Trust in God In Proverbs 3:5-6, we are encouraged to “trust in the Lord with all your heart.” How does this differ from following our own heart or desires? Share an example of a time when you had to trust in God’s plan over your own feelings or desires. What was the outcome? Guarding Your Heart Proverbs 4:23 says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” What does it mean to guard your heart in the context of today’s culture? How can we apply this practically in our lives.
