Baptism
Baptism is a sign and sacrament of God’s covenant grace. At Peace Church, we baptize adults who are professing faith in Jesus Christ as well as the children of believers.
Membership Comes First
Because baptism and the public profession of faith take place within the life and care of the local church, Peace Church schedules these steps for members. If you are not yet a member, your first step is to attend Membership Class and complete the membership process. Once your membership is finalized, our team will help you move forward.
Adult Baptism
Adults and older students who have not previously been baptized may be baptized as they publicly profess their faith in Jesus Christ. At Peace Church, adult baptism and profession of faith normally happen together.

Infant Baptism
We baptize the children of believers because we believe God’s covenant promises extend to believers and their children. Infant baptism does not save a child; salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Instead, baptism marks the child as part of the covenant community and calls the parents and church family to help raise the child in the faith.
Profession of Faith
Profession of faith is a public declaration of personal trust in Jesus Christ. Those who were baptized as infants later profess their faith when they have a firm understanding of the gospel. Those who have not previously been baptized ordinarily make their profession of faith at the time of their baptism.
