    Derek Middle School Coordinator Derek Dean Derek has been attending Peace since 2021 and joined the staff in June 2024. Originally from Wisconsin, he grew up in California from age 6 to 29. Derek and his wife, Julie, have been together since high school and married for 10 years. They have three children: Ellie, Riley, and Carson. The family loves being active, playing sports, and camping. Since moving to Michigan, Derek has taken up hunting, fishing, and foraging for morels. How does it make you feel knowing that Jesus notices those whom society often overlooks? In what ways have you experienced Jesus noticing you during times when you felt unnoticed or insignificant? Christ sees you when you are unknowing (John 5:9-15) After healing the man, Jesus later finds him in the temple and advises him to sin no more. How does this interaction demonstrate Jesus’ concern for both our physical and spiritual well-being? Are there areas in your life where you feel spiritually unknowing or uncertain? How can you seek Jesus’ guidance and wisdom in these areas? Christ sees you when you are unable (John 5:16-18) The healed man was unable to help himself into the healing waters, yet Jesus intervened.     Noah Care Pastor Noah Kamper Noah has been attending Peace Church for over two years and joined the staff in June 2025. Originally from Traverse City, MI, Noah and his wife Liz spent 11 years as missionaries in Costa Rica before settling in Middleville, where Liz grew up. Together, they have four kids: Forrest, Elliot, Quinn, and Lucia. Their family enjoys Friday night family time, reading, watching movies, being creative, and going on adventures. In his free time, Noah loves running, woodworking, and meaningful conversations about life and ministry with Liz, who continues to serve as a missionary on a care team. Our Saturday Morning Bible Study sessions are usually 8 weeks long in both the Fall and Winter, offering opportunities to dive deep into Scripture, engage in meaningful discussions, and apply biblical principles to everyday life; come hungry!     Ryan Lead Pastor Ryan Kimmel Ryan has been attending and on staff at Peace Church since 2013. Originally from Middleville, Michigan, he has been married to his wife, Tiffany, for nearly 19 years. They have four children: two boys (one through international adoption) and two girls, ranging from a high school senior to elementary school. They also have a dog named Bear and a bunch of chickens. In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family and fishing.     Sophia Graphic Designer Sophia Beckering Sophia joined the Peace Church staff in October 2025 and has been attending Peace for four years. Originally from Middleville, Michigan, Sophia comes from a big family with nine siblings and was adopted from Hunan, China at eight months old. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends—whether that’s grabbing coffee, thrifting, or going for walks—and loves expressing her creativity through painting and drawing, especially with oil paints. When the weather’s nice, you can often find her playing tennis with her family.
